El Potro Mexican Restaurant Douglas, GA

Apparently this is a seat-yourself-restaurant. It would have been nice if they had a sign that said so, or at least one of the 2 waitresses could tell you as they ignoringly walk by. Finally, I take a seat. I’m brought out the usually staple of Chips ‘n Salsa and my drink order is place. My tastes don’t vary much when it comes to order Mexican food. However, they were not aware of this and assume I would be eating from the buffet as everyone else. So, now I sit and wait munching on tummy filling, not good for my diet, Chips ‘n Salsa. Finally, they realize I will not be eating at the buffet and they take my order: Cheese Quesadilla with Pico de Gallo cooked inside (never listed on the menu). It comes out rather quickly, just about faster than any other place I have been to. And it totally not at all what I ordered.  What I have is a Cheese Quesadilla and a huge ½ a plate of Pico de Gallo. They used the usual white Quesadilla Cheese and flour tortilla which makes for awesome flavor. The Pico de Gallo on the other hand was a flavorless heap of tomatoes. The Chips ‘n’ Salsa was just ok, nothing spectacular. I think the next time I’m in town; I’ll pass on El Potro.
