Chocolate and Nuts Treat

Equipment

  • Silicone Muffin Tin
  • Oven

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bag Melting Chocolate Chips any quality melting chocolate
  • 1 container Salted Mixed Nuts

Instructions
 

  • Cover the bottom of a muffin pan with 1 to 2 tablespoon of chocolate chips
  • Place in oven at 200°F (about 93 °C) for about 5 minutes, or until chocolate is shiny and starting to melt
  • Remove from oven and shake the pan a bit to ensure chocolate melts evenly and covers the bottom
  • Sprinkle a layer of nuts on top and gently press nuts into chocolate.
  • Once cool to the touch, place pan in the refrigerator to harden for about 30 minutes
  • Remove treats from muffin pan and try not to bite your fingers off
  • Store any extras in an airtight container in the refrigerator

Notes

Tips:

  • Use cupcake liners in a non silicone muffin tin to easily pop out your treats with little to no mess.
  • Be sure your chocolate is made to melt, not the chocolate chips used in making cookies, which hold their shape.
